Richard began his career in the financial services industry in 2006. He works directly with clients using a planning oriented approach to help clients track progress to their goals while addressing current and future needs – be they retirement planning, structuring income for retirement, aligning their investments to their specific risk tolerance, tax focused strategies, or estate planning concerns. Whether an investor has been diligently planning their finances independently their whole lives or find they are suddenly and unexpectedly the financial decision maker of their household, there is rarely a situation in which he can’t add value. The most rewarding aspect for him is navigating the various goals a client has and finding solutions that integrate to meet all of their needs.
Shortly after graduating from The College of William and Mary, Richard joined a local, independent financial advisory practice in Williamsburg and joined the Point Comfort Wealth Management team in 2010. In 2011 he earned his CFP® certification, being in the youngest 3% of professionals to do so. He currently maintains General Securities and Investment Advisory Representative registrations with LPL Financial along with Life and Health Insurance Licenses.
Richard is an avid concert goer and renewed fitness enthusiast. He lives in Williamsburg with his wife Kim, their two sons and dog. They enjoy travelling together, finding local hidden gems wherever they go as well as playing all types of games in their downtime at home.
